Rwanda / Kigali, SOS Children's Villages Technical High School, 2017 and 2018

In 2017, Rwanda became the second country in Africa to host an Impact Week, following in the footsteps of Kenya.

For two years, in 2017 and 2018, the local partner SOS Children's Villages Technical High School in Kigali was hosting the program. The partnership and collaboration developed a genuine drive for the program over this period.

A dedicated core team of volunteers, experts in the field of innovation and primarily connected through various Design at Business events, executed this innovation academy program in Kigali. Building on the experience of previous years, the initiative was scaled up in 2018 and the organizing team around Christine Wenzel, Joern Bruecker, Kiba Muvunyi and Willy Manirakiza, witnessed increased participation and support from companies, organizations, and individuals who shared their vision.

These events are a testament to our unwavering commitment to fostering innovation, empowering individuals, and driving positive change. At JCW Evolution, we believe that by working together, embracing diverse perspectives, and nurturing local potential, we can create a lasting impact and contribute to a better future for all.

Traveling to Africa and supporting these initiatives is a matter close to our hearts.

We learn an incredible amount from the participants, immersing ourselves in completely new perspectives and broadening our horizons. At the same time, we can create our contribution to positive change and sustainably promote local potential through constant exchange with those responsible at the local university. we can create a lasting impact and contribute to a better future for all.
