Part 1 (3 days)

Deep dive into the innovation tools and principles of human-centered design, and what is needed to create desirable, viable and feasible business solutions.

Topics covered:

  • Innovation and innovation methods: what is there and when to use what.
  • Research through immersion, observation and interviews.
  • Upgrading the tool-kit with Ideation Techniques.
  • Prototype-Test-Build cycles.
  • Pitching and storytelling.
  • Agile based principles.

Part 2 (2 days)

Experience of an end-to-end design sprint on a real innovation challenge to establish the core competencies as an innovation coach.

Observe and learn from senior coaches and immersion into participant’s role

Part 3 (2 days)

Acquirement of the skills to coach and facilitate innovation projects, workshops and strategic innovation initiatives and to support others to apply innovation methods. 

Topics covered:

  • Exploring and strengthening the profile and role as Innovation Coach.
  • Effective listening and questioning.
  • Manage creative team dynamics.
  • How to give instructions as a coach.

Part 4 (3 days)

Coaching within the peer group - an opportunity to receive valuable feedback and to grow. Exploration of the unique profile as an Innovation Coach.

Design, prepare and run workshops.

Experience Building & Certification​

Applying the classroom content to the real world. With the guidance of assigned mentors and learning groups there are three areas to build the main experience:

  • 1. Coach a training
  • 2. Coach a business project
  • 3. Coach a social project

Great coaches are only made through experience:

The coaches bring their own projects / assignments / case studies from their day-to-day job or from any voluntary engagement.

 

Choose two out of the three areas and gather a minimum of 40 hours of coaching experience within 4 months. Every experience will be completed with a written reflection.

 

After the evaluation and 1:1 retrospective with the mentor, the coach will be certified.
